Moesia

PRONUNCIATION:	msh, -sh-
	An ancient region of southeast Europe south of the Danube River in what is now Yugoslavia and northern Bulgaria. Originally inhabited by Thracians, it was conquered by the Romans c. 29 b.c. and occupied by Goths in the fourth century a.d.
